Jose Mourinho, the coach of Italian soccer side Internazionale, has appointed international sports media company MP & Silva to distribute his new television programme.

The programme, 'Football for Kids by Jose Mourinho', will profile the former FC Porto and Chelsea manager's 'coaching philosophies and tactics'. It will be a four-part series, and will see a number of star footballers appear, including Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho and Deco. The programme is likely to be financially lucrative for Mourinho, one of the best-known coaches in the world of soccer.

"We are very pleased to be partnering MP & Silva to help bring this unique programme to football fans around the world," said Mourinho. "MP & Silva has leading expertise managing football-related content and we will be relying on them to deliver this programme to broadcasters worldwide."

The deal does not include distribution in Mourinho's native Portugal. Andrea Radrizzani, chief executive of MP & Silva, said: "Jose Mourinho is undoubtedly one of the most successful and influential coaches in world football, and we are deeply honoured to be working on this noteworthy television project. Mourinho belongs to an elite class of coaches, considering that he has won a slew of coaching awards, including Uefa Manager of the Year, and this programme will allow football and Mourinho's fans to gain a rare and in-depth insight into Mourinho and his coaching philosophies and methodologies."
