FC Barcelona confirm deal with Betfair

Spanish soccer champions FC Barcelona have confirmed their deal with British gaming company Betfair.
News of the deal was broken last month, but has only now been confirmed by the club. The deal will last for two years and is thought to be worth around US$2.5 million a year to the Spanish team.
Betfair will replace Austrian company Bwin as Barcelona's betting partner. Bwin also currently sponsor the shirts of Barcelona's arch rivals Real Madrid.
Betfair will create betting content through the Barcelona website, and will advertise on perimeter boards at the Nou Camp. The company has also secured rights to tickets, hospitality and training ground access, and will offer club members special offers.
