British Eurosport will screen the final three rounds of the IAAF Golden League, following the collapse of Setanta Sports.
The Golden League, which consists of six meetings and offers athletes the chance to win US$1 million if they win at each event, features the likes of Olympic 100 metre champion Usain Bolt, Russian pole-vault champion Yelena Isinbayeva and Ethiopia’s middle distance specialist Kenenisa Bekele.
The deal was negotiated by IMG Media.
"We are delighted to have secured a deal with British Eurosport which ensures athletics fans can continue to watch the remaining Golden League meetings" says Kristian Hysén, senior vice President at IMG Media.
Dave Kerr, director of British Eurosport said: "We've really enjoyed bringing UK fans the last two Golden League events and this is a great reward for our efforts. After the acquisition of US PGA Golf and GP2, the Golden League will further strengthen some fantastic weekends of live action on our UK channels this summer – including the Tour De France, MotoGP, US Open tennis and the World Athletics Championship."
