Emmi signs on to sponsor FIS World Cup
The Infront Sports & Media agency has secured Emmi as an international sponsor of alpine ski racing on a multi-year contract beginning this December.
Emmi will be a partner to the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, with an involvement at some of the most renowned Alpine skiing competitions such as the giant slalom in Adelboden and the Lauberhorn ski race in Wengen.
"Competitive skiing has been integral to Switzerland for many years - the alpine backdrop and of course the strong emphasis placed on 'made in Switzerland' are excellent ways for us to promote the Emmi brand throughout Europe," said Emmi chief executive Urs Riedener.
Infront's executive director winter sports, Bruno Marty, added: "Emmi is an ideal partner - a perfect long-term sponsor for the FIS World Cup events that we market. Our more exclusive marketing approach calls for a unified identity and extensive media penetration. With a total of around three billion cumulative television viewers worldwide per season we are convinced that Emmi will achieve its brand communication objectives with the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup."
