The Guangdong team that will compete at the Chinese National Games has secured its second new sponsor within a week.
After sports brand Kang Wei agreed to provide equipment, clothing and cash to a total value of US$1.2 million, the Foshan Xietong Plastic Luggage Company has signed a similar cash plus services deal that will see it provide a total of US$750,000 in money and travel luggage for all team members and staff.
The competition will be held in Shandong in October. The last edition of the games, China's highest level of national competition, saw Guangdong province finish second in the overall medal table.
"I hope the luggage we will provide returns to Guangdong full of gold medals," said Xietong general manager Luo Tongxin.
