China Telecom add prestige to Asian Games

China Telecommunications Corporation (China Telecom) has signed a deal with the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC).
The deal sees the telecoms company become a ‘Prestige Partner’ of the 16th Asian Games, which will take place at the end of 2010. Under the deal it will develop and provide a comprehensive information service for the event.
Over the next two years China Telecom will work with the organising committee as a ‘high-level sponsor’ to establish communication systems including; fixed communication services, internet access services and satellite TV signal transmission.
The company will invest a total of US$87.7 million in the project.
