Chelsea FC extend television partnership for four years
Chelsea, currently top of the Premier League, have extended their contract with Input Media, who will continue to produce programming for Chelsea Digital Media across all its distribution platforms, including Chelsea TV, until 2013.
Input Media has been Chelsea's production partner since August 2001 when the channel was launched, and delivers 80 hours of programming per week. That includes live coverage of reserve matches and pre-season friendlies, regular interviews with club coach Carlo Ancelotti, daily news, club features, phone-in programmes and studio shows, plus profiles of the first team squad.
17 Input Media staff are permanently based at Stamford Bridge producing the live shows from the custom-built TV Studio.
"We are extremely proud to renew this prestigious contract, as Chelsea FC is one of the top sports brands in the world, and we hope to build on our successful relationship with them," said Input Media's managing director David Johnson.
Chelsea Digital Media's Cas Knight added: "Our long-term partnership with Input Media is a testament to their all round production and technical expertise."
