Ceylon Cold Stores, the Elephant Brand soft drink manufacturer, is sponsoring the Sri Lanka Men’s Open Golf Championship, currently underway at the country's Royal Colombo Golf Club.
The tournament, first played in 1970, is open to both amateur and professional golfers but due to sponsorship issues has not been played regularly each year.
However since 2008 the Sri Lankan Golf Union has hosted the tournament and attracted big-name golfers with an attractive prize pot, bolstered by this year's Ceylon Cold Stores sponsorship.
The Championship concludes on January 22.
