Carson Yeung has spent nearly US$70 million to secure approximately 51.8 per cent of the shares in Birmingham City, the English Premier League club.
The shares, added to the 29.9 per cent already controlled by Yeung's Grandtop International Holdings, give Yeung a total of 81.7 per cent of the club. He expects to complete his takeover in the near future, and the deal is expected to be formally completed in October.
