Carling signs three-year deal with Scottish Rugby
Carling has been named as the official beer of Scottish Rugby and Murrayfield Stadium after signing a three-year deal with Scottish Rugby.
The popular beer brand, distributed by Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK), will have a major presence at Murrayfield Stadium, with its branding appearing on billboards, LED pitch-side advertising, bars inside and outside the stadium and staff uniforms in what is reportedly a six-figure deal.
"We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Scottish Rugby and look forward to working closely to create an enhanced match-day experience for Scotland fans," said Paul Miller, director of sales Molson Coors Scotland. "We are proud of the imaginative steps we have taken to building a relationship with Scottish consumers and to promote sensible drinking and consumption of alcohol.
"Serving great beer is extremely important to us and we aim to provide adult sports fans visiting Murrayfield the opportunity to enjoy a cold, perfectly served pint of Carling made from 100% British Barley."
Scottish Rugby's chief executive Gordon McKie added: "In a challenging economic climate we welcome Carling as the official beer of Scottish Rugby and Murrayfield Stadium. This partnership is important, not just because it extends our portfolio of quality sponsors; but also because Carling shares our desire to promote a message of responsible drinking."
Carling, made with 100% British Barley, entered the Scottish market in 2002, and has since become a majopr investor in Scottish sport.
