Cadbury, already a major sponsor of the London 2012 Olympics, will have an increased presence there after agreeing to back the Australian Olympic team.
The confectionary company will back Australia's representatives both in London and at the winter games in Vancouver next year. Cadbury was an Australian Team sponsor at the 1996 Atlanta Games and partnered the Sydney Olympic Organising Committee (SOCOG) and 2000 Australian Olympic Team as part of the Sydney Games.
"It is a delight for us to have Cadbury back on board as an Olympic sponsor," said Australian Olympic Committee president John Coates. "I know I speak on behalf of all the athletes in saying how much we appreciate Cadbury's generous support in the build up to Vancouver and London."
Cadbury managing director Mark Callaghan added: "The Olympic Games are, without question, the world's greatest event, and we are delighted that our sponsorship will contribute towards helping our Australian athletes achieve their dreams and hopefully deliver the most successful Olympic campaigns Australia has ever seen."
