Bermuda Tourism has announced a partnership with PGA Tour's Deutsche Bank Championship in an attempt to attract golf fans to the Caribbean island.
As part of the deal, worth US$400,000, Bermuda Tourism will enjoy the benefit of corporate hospitality at the Deutsche Bank Championship, a marquee PGA Tour event, along with brand recognition and identification through Championship programmes. Bermuda Tourism will have the opportunity to conduct on-site promotions, giveaways and will have setups for on-site experiences that showcase all that Bermuda has to offer.
Ewart F. Brown, Minister of Bermuda Tourism and Transport said: "I am confident Bermuda Tourism's new partnership with the Deutsche Bank Championship will help us reach a cross-section of New Englanders and convince more of them to visit Bermuda."
Eric Baldwin, championship director of the Deutsche Bank Championship also welcomed the partnership, saying: "Bermuda is one of the most desirable golf destinations in North America. The Deutsche Bank Championship attracts a vast audience of golf enthusiasts from across New England. We are thrilled to partner with Bermuda Tourism to provide them with the opportunity to engage our loyal fans."
