The One Gold brand has become an official sponsor of the Chinese national table tennis team, signing a new partnership with the country's most popular sport.
The Chinese national team is by far the most successful national team in the sport. It has dominated international competition, save for a brief period in the nineties, for the last 40 years. Indeed, Chinese players are often faced with former compatriots even in international competition; all four USA players at the Beijing Olympics were born in China.
One Gold, a brand of the Beijing One Gold Cultural Development Company, will be a sponsor of the team for the next four years, a period taking in the London 2012 Olympic Games, when the team will be defending a perfect record; Chinese players took gold, silver and bronze in both the men's and women's events, and gold in both team events in Beijing.
