The Anaheim Ducks have signed a partnership with Star Scrap Metal that will promote recycling at Honda Center for the remainder of the 2009-10 NHL regular season.
The partnership, which will encourage Ducks fans to bring their recyclable cans, plastics, newspapers and metals to each remaining weekend home game, will offer them the chance to win a Mexican Riviera cruise courtesy of Star Scrap Metal. A portion of the proceeds from the recycling efforts will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation.
"The Anaheim Ducks are excited to partner with Star Scrap Metal in this recycling program initiative," said Ducks director of corporate partnerships Wendy Grover to Sponsorship News. "This programme will assist Orange County’s recycling efforts and support the Anaheim Ducks Foundation while also rewarding one lucky Ducks fan with a memorable cruise through the Mexican Riviera."
Meanwhile, Star Scrap Metal signage will appear within the Honda Center concourse, on the NHL franchise's website, in the official game programme of the Anaheim Ducks, and on select Anaheim Ducks television broadcasts.
